Grayton Beach, Florida

2008 was the 3rd year that me and six of my best girlfriends got together with our husbands and childeren for a summer vacation. Between us 7 girls, we live in 5 different cities in 3 different states. So it is a big deal for all of us to spend this week together. I cherish this time with these friends that I consider family. You girls are so special to me, I love you all so much. I look forward to many more summer vacations with you.

Here's all my girlfriends with their beautiful children

Melissa and Brady
(her twins Brett and Ethan got to spend time with their grandparents this week)

Shelley and Kailyn

Chrissie and Foster

Jennifer and Addison

Anna and Brooks

Rachel and Megan

Luke, Rachel's son and Megan's big brother

It rained one of the days, so the girls decided that it was a perfect day for shopping. We worked up a thirst, so we stopped into Cheeseburger in Paradise for some margarita's. We had a really good time; a perfect way to end our day of shopping.

While the girls were shopping, the daddy's stayed at the beach house with all the kiddos. Us girls were giggling about it and expected to get 1000 phone calls. But all our Mr.Moms did a great job and actually said it was easy. (Would they tell us any different though?) All seven of us girls got really lucky when it came to finding hubby's. They are all wonderful daddy's and husbands. They also have amazing taste in women. Here's a shot of Travis holding Addison, Foster and Kailyn.

Since it was raining, the kids (and daddy's) stayed busy playing the Wii.

Girls night out! It was nice to go out and enjoy each other by ourselves. My friends Shelley and Chrissie both found this same week that they were pregnant. Can you guess which ones they are? Look at our drinks and take a guess. I am so happy for them and I can't wait to meet my new nieces. This picture was taken at the Red Bar, a really cool restaraunt/bar that we walked to. Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo were also vacationing in Grayton Beach this week. We found out after we got back home that she sang here the night we left.

There was a lagoon near the beach that we spent some time at. It was like a huge shallow swimming pool that the kids could swim in and we didn't have to worry about them as much. The adults and kids had a good time kayaking around the lagoon.

Happy Independence Day!

The morning of the 4th the locals had a small parade that ran by our house. They threw out beads and candy to the kids.

Travis catchin' some waves.

Landon gettin' his tan on.

I love this candid of Travis and Landon.

We bought all the kids matching bathing suits for the 4th. Our intention was to get a picture of them all together. This was our attempt at getting the boys.

The guys took a 4th of July deep sea fishing trip. They caught their limit of red snapper and wahoo. That night after Shane and Nick made a fantastic dinner, I think we all ate our limit of it. It was so delicious, I couldn't stop myself. Thanks guys for cooking all week, you did a great job.
