The boy's first Georgia Game

Travis and I were thrilled to take Lil' Travis and Landon to their first Georgia Bulldogs football game in August. To share this time with them was heart-warming for us because Georgia football is a big part of our lives and we were just overjoyed to have them with us. It was a significant moment because we knew that it was the first of many games that we would go to as a family.

We went with Travis' parents, his aunt and uncle, his sister, her boyfriend, two of our friends and their two kids. We tailgated in a quiet spot where the kids could run around and climb trees. It was very different than tailgating on campus, but we didn't think that they were quit ready for that scene. The kids all had a really good time playing and the adults enjoyed watching them and relaxing.

On the walk to the stadium, Lil' Travis was amazed at the sea of red and black. And even though he doesn't really understand the whole game of football, I think he realized why his Mama and Daddy love the Dawgs so much.

It was really hot this day and the sun was shining right down on us. Considering the heat, and having to sit still the whole time, the kids did really well. We kept them hydrated with water and ice-cream. By half time, we were all ready to go back to our tailgating spot and sit in the shade. Travis and I are excited about the many years of watching our beloved Dawgs with our boys.
