Summer field trip to St. Augustine

We took the boys to the Timicuan and Colonial Spanish museum in St. Augustine.  We had a fun time learning how the indians and some of the first settlers of America lived.

It took 28 days or "1 moon" to make a canoe.  First, the native americans would burn the inside of the tree and then dig out the ash with shells.
